Jussi Lehtomäki wins best student price with film Out into the woods at Tampere Film Festival

Jussi Lehtomäki won the best student price with his documentary film Aamulla viemme lapset metsään (Out into the Woods) (ELO, 2012) at the Tampere Film Festival which was held on 6 - 10 March 2013 in Tampere, Finland. Out into the Woods takes the audience into the middle of a storytelling moment, and sends the viewer on a journey into the dark woods.
In the synopsis of the film by Jussi Lehtomäki there is a question 'When is the last time you've been to the woods'? It continues by quoting the famous Grimm fairy tale: 'Once upon a time a poor woodcutter lived with his wife and two children in a small cottage next to a great forest. The boy was called Hansel and the girl Gretel.'
Lehtomäki is a third-year documentary film directing student at the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in Helsinki, Finland. He both directered the film and wrote the script for it. Out into the woods is Jussi Lehtomäki's second film as a director. The film is subtitled in English.
