Department of Design in Co-Core Seoul
07.10.2011
The Co-Core International Art & Design Critiques is held this week in Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. Aalto University´s Department of Design is partaking in the event with faculty and students. The idea of Co-Core is to expose cross-disciplinary and cross-culturally student work in process for a rich dialogue.
Rather then showing off the finished work, Co-Core intends to mix the formats of exhibition and pedagogical presence. In this year's event there will be more than 50 works on display and under discussion from five international universities for three long days.
Aalto University's Department of Design has been involved in the Co-Core project since its beginning 2008. The other partner universities are: Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, China; Central Academy of Fine Arts, China; Tama Art University, Japan and College of Fine Arts, Hongik University, Korea.
In 2012 Aalto University is proud to organize the next Co-Core event in Helsinki.
