The admission results for Master’s level programmes released

The admission results for Master’s level programmes at the School of Art and Design have been released. A total of 198 new students were accepted.

The Aalto University School of Art and Design received 962 applications for Master's degree programmes, which is six per cent less than in 2010. The countries with the most applications outside Finland were China, South Korea, Taiwan and Iran. Based on the number of applicants, the three most popular Master's degree programmes were Industrial and Strategic Design, New Media and Graphic Design.

Nine out of Aalto University’s Master’s degree programmes are participating in the tuition fee trial starting from autumn 2011. From the School of Art and Design, the Master’s degree programmes participating in the tuition fee trial are Environmental Art and International Design Business Management. Aalto University offers a limited number of scholarships for those students who are charged tuition fees and who are selected to above mentioned programs. The highest scholarship category covers the tuition fee for two academic years and in addition, the student will receive financial support for covering the living and studying expenses for two academic years.

The list contains the names of only those applicants who have given the permission to publish their admission decision on the web pages.

The results for the tuition based programmes – International Design Business Management, and Environmental Art – were published already on 28 April.

The results for the Bachelor’s degree programmes will be published on 23 June.
