New students at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture are the first to arrive on campus.
They began their orientation days on Monday at the Arabia and Otaniemi Campuses at their departments. After that all the students arrive Sampo-hall at 12.30, Arabia.
This year, almost 400 new students were selected for the School of Arts, Design and Architecture, 170 will start in new bachelor programme and 230 in new master programmes. At the same time we welcome over 80 exchange students to our campuses.
During orientation week, students will learn more about the content and staff of their programme, and the practices and supporting services related to daily student life. They will also become acquainted with various information systems and the campus and its surroundings. Above all, students have the opportunity to meet other new students. They will be assisted by the staff and tutors or older students.
The official opening ceremony and Aalto Party will be held on Tuesday 2 September. (More information on the events.)
