The research group in costume design is led by Professor Sofia Pantouvaki.
Costume in Focus (CiF) is the first research group with sharp focus on developing research in the field of Costume Design. CiF was founded in 2013 by Professor Sofia Pantouvaki.
The main objective is to lead quality research in live and film/media-based performance by bridging theory and practice: generating new ways of thinking on and through artistic practice and developing a critical discourse on costume to contribute and advance the existing knowledge.
The CiF group also aims at building the foundations for future research, providing training to early career researchers, and working on the establishment of methodological tools for the development of further research in the field of costume and performance.
