Opening speech by the Ambassador of Switzerland H.E. Mr. Heinrich Maurer on the occasion of Weltbild, Swiss artist Klaus Lutz’s Nordic premiere. Introductory speech by Hannes Schüpbach, Association for the Preservation of the Work of Klaus Lutz.
Klaus Lutz (1940-2009) realized his Weltbild, image or concept of the world, as did the Roman god Vulcan, forging from within, a universe, a shield upon which a cosmology of his own invention shone.
Klaus Lutz’s 16-millimeter films and graphic works, along with Frank Matter’s documentary film The Beauty of My Island—Shooting Klaus Lutz will be on view at Aalto University’s beta Space from August 18-October 13, 2017.
