Professor John Caldwell as a keynote speaker at the Elements of Success Conference
Professor John Caldwell from the UCLA, California will give a keynote speech at the conference on film production.
Elements of Success - rethinking audience and production studies as practice is organized by the research group EoS at the Department of Film, Television and Scenography. Professor Caldwell is the world reknowed scholar of production studies. The other keynote speaker is Assistant Professor Eva Novrup Redvall from the University of Copenhagen. The topic of her speech is Everyone wants to be a story of success: The challenges of ‘failure studies’ in film and media production research.
The aim of the conference is to offer an arena for both researchers and filmmakers to discuss factors that contribute to a film’s success and to combine the practice of film-making with the more conceptual orientation of film production studies. The program contains traditional parallel sessions and more informal talks.
