“Creating the theme and idea for the exhibition was part of the content of the course. The exhibition presents new furniture typologies. The students' works show that textile and furniture design essentially belong together, "says professor Ville Kokkonen.

“How have shifting living and working situations in domestic and public settings transformed the cultural and technical dimension of furniture? What are the possible implementations and configurations of these two material actions? Two different disciplines and their approach to one same problem: to challenge the formal typologies of known seating archetypes”, the exhibition is asking. The works present the investiogations developed by students in response to these questions.
